Working and Studying in Athens
After spending the past few months in Athens as an online student, I’ve found a few great study and work spots! As I resided within Exarchia, all coffee spots are found within that area. PS: Keep in mind that to-go coffees are cheaper than stay-ins. The price on the board might be different from that on your bill, that’s normal! Banca Café With amazing staff, great coffee, and no time-limit (let’s be honest, when studying you don’t want to feel the pressure to leave!), Banca café is a must. Foyer espresso bar Situated on the side of a very busy street, I was happy surprised when I went upstairs to find a very quiet study space with a big, long table and other smaller tables available. Morocco: First week
This is a day-to-day diary I wrote while being in Morocco in October 2017. After spending a few days in London visiting, I made my way to the airport to begin a new experience… Saturday, 14th October 2017– Day One Today I am flying from London, where I have spent the past three days, to Rabat Salé where I will be volunteering for two weeks. I leave my hostel and travel to Stansted Airport, then embark on a 4-hour flight to finally arrive at 8:15 PM. The IVHQ team picks me up from the airport and drives me to the accomodation– Khadijah’s house. I meet the whole family; Khadijah and her husband, and their three children. Sunday, 15th October 2017– Day Two I take the day to get orientated– I walk around the Medina– the main marketplace and look for long elephant pants to keep cool in the blazing hot sun– wearing shorts in Morocco would not be respectful of…

The HIV/AIDS pandemic in Uganda has been understood as one mainly due to poverty. Originally submitted to Dana Cudney for the course “Desire, Love and Work II” at Laurentian University, this paper examines the influence of social factors on the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Uganda using research and empirical data acquired during a humanitarian mission in February 2018.
