2017 Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy
On the 21st of February 2017, I attended the 2017 Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy, where remarkable speakers, such as Hillel Neuer, Mohamed Nasheed, and Médard Mulangala, took the stage and discussed human rights affairs in the hopes of raising concerns to the world and to the United Nations.
Numerous human rights and democracy affairs were discussed, namely the infringement of rights in North Korea, propaganda in the Russian media, Venezuela’s situation, and ISIS, among others. Renowned speakers shared the importance of speaking loud and clear about such affairs in order for things to change.
